Email Assistant (Part-time)
Civic Nation is looking for a part-time, remote Email Assistant to support its When We All Vote initiative. This temporary role, running until December 15, 2026, is ideal for a current student or recent graduate who can write engaging email content and use email data to improve outreach for the Party at the Polls campaign.

Description
Civic Nation seeks an Email Assistant to provide email content support in coordination with the Communications Team for When We All Vote. Successful candidates will be strong writers with the ability to develop engaging email content and will be comfortable working with data and email metrics to aid in informing strategy. When We All Vote is a national, nonpartisan initiative on a mission to increase participation in every election, close the race and age voting gaps, and change the culture around voting. Civic Nation is an impact hub for the ideas, leaders, and initiatives that strengthen civic culture, civic power, and civic participation.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Associate Director of Digital Engagement in developing the email strategy for Party at the Polls.
2. Write and develop content ideas for the Party at the Polls email program, and for When We All Vote campaigns as needed.
3. Track and report on Community Partner email list performance, identifying opportunities for better segmentation and engagement.
4. Compile and analyze Party at the Polls email metrics to inform strategy.
5. Build and schedule emails in HubSpot.
6. Provide general administrative support to the Associate Director of Digital Engagement.
7. Other reasonable and related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. A recent college graduate or currently enrolled in college or university.
2. 1+ year of writing and developing content for email marketing campaigns, ideally in a political, advocacy, or nonprofit setting.
3. Experience tracking and reporting on digital metrics, with an eye toward identifying trends and opportunities for segmentation.
4. Comfortable learning new software and tools (experience with HubSpot or similar email CRM platforms a plus).
5. Strong copywriting and editing skills.
6. Familiarity with voter engagement or civic participation programs a plus.
7. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
8. Interest in current pop culture trends.
9. Ability to stay flexible and organized while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
10. Enthusiasm for working with diverse communities and individuals with varying perspectives.
