Description

Day Translations is a global translation and interpreting company that improves worldwide communication through accurate, localized translations, interpretation, outsourcing services, and a wide variety of tailored language solutions for individuals, organizations, and businesses of all sizes. We are seeking Project Managers for the Localization Department to work the night shift in the USA time zone. We are looking for someone passionate about languages and cultures who is interested in a long-term career with us. In this fast-paced role, you will act as the bridge between our clients and our freelance translators or interpreters. The ideal candidate has experience in translation, localization, project management, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform evaluation of costs and prepare project budgets and quotes for clients.

2. Coordinate all project phases and efficiently predict the lifespan of all stages through achievable deadlines.

3. Utilize tools such as Plunet for time tracking and take full ownership of projects throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and successful delivery from start to finish.

4. Adhere to applicable policies and procedures.

5. Answer client queries thoroughly via chats, phone calls, and emails on time.

6. Report activity in group chats and actively communicate with peers on tasks being worked on.

7. Negotiate deadlines and rates with freelancers based on HR freelancer databases.

8. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with freelancers globally.

9. Monitor and control project status.

10. Manage project finances, including budgeting.

11. Perform quality checks at various stages of the process to ensure quality and accuracy (proofreading, final eye).

12. Handle freelancer queries.

Requirements:

1. Experience in project management, business administration, and customer service.

2. Knowledge in Localization for the Localization Project Manager role.

3. Knowledge and experience using CAT tools like Smartcat and MemoQ.

4. Knowledge and experience using Translation Management systems like Trados.

5. University degree in Business Administration, Translations, or any relevant field is preferred.

6. Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English (Native or C1) and fluency in a foreign language.

7. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize and multitask.

8. Excellent cross-cultural and interpersonal communication skills.

9. Strong sense of professionalism and politeness.
