Direct-Response Ad Copywriter for Silvery® (Remote)
Employer: Ventura Brands
Location: Remote
Salary: Competitive
Schedule: Flexible working hours
Type: Remote Freelance
Description
Silvery® is a fast-growing premium bedding brand focused on the US market, selling through its own store and Amazon. It is part of Ventura Brands Oy, a Finnish ecommerce company that has built multiple international consumer brands and served more than 300,000 customers worldwide. Silvery reached more than $1 million in monthly revenue just over a year after launch and is now expanding its creative output to support the next stage of growth.
The successful candidate will write ad scripts and copy for Silvery’s paid campaigns, primarily for Meta, by adapting formats, angles, and structures that are currently working well for other brands in the US market without copying the original ads.
The role requires going deep into customer language through ad comments, Reddit discussions, customer reviews, and other relevant sources to understand how customers describe their needs, frustrations, objections, and desired outcomes.
Benefits:
1. Near public transit
2. Free coffee or tea
3. Work life balance
4. Skill development
5. Flexible working hours
6. New tech gear
7. Paid trial of $200 for two ad scripts
8. Opportunity to transition to a monthly retainer with a performance-based bonus tied to a percentage of ad spend
Responsibilities:
1. Write ad scripts and copy for Silvery’s paid campaigns, primarily for Meta.
2. Build scripts from formats, angles, and structures that are currently working especially well for other brands in the US market.
3. Adapt the underlying conversion logic, pacing, and messaging to Silvery’s product and audience without copying the original ad.
4. Explore ad comments, Reddit discussions, customer reviews, and other relevant sources to understand customer needs, frustrations, objections, and desired outcomes.
5. Use those insights to make copy feel specific, natural, and persuasive.
6. Turn the hook, customer insight, objection, emotional payoff, unique mechanism, and call to action into clear, credible copy that is ready to test.
Requirements:
1. Experience writing direct-response ads for ecommerce brands or other performance-focused offers.
2. Understanding of consumer psychology and the ability to identify the underlying desire, frustration, objection, or belief that an ad needs to address.
3. Ability to break down a winning ad format and explain what makes it effective.
4. Ability to preserve conversion logic while making the final copy original, credible, and specific to the brand.
5. Ability to write concise, natural English that sounds like a real person rather than generic advertising.
6. Willingness to answer screening questions about performance creative, Meta Ads, and DTC ecommerce.

How To Apply
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and the company will hire as soon as it finds the right fit. Applicants should share examples of performance-creative work they have written, especially work that demonstrates results. As part of the application, screening questions about performance creative, Meta Ads, and DTC ecommerce will be asked.
If client confidentiality prevents sharing full examples, anonymized or redacted samples are welcome. The process starts with a paid trial of $200 for two ad scripts, with product information, creative references, and direction provided. If the quality of the trial work is strong, additional scripts may be offered, with an opportunity to transition to a monthly retainer with a performance-based bonus tied to a percentage of ad spend.
Why Apply
This is a strong opportunity for a performance-focused copywriter who wants to work with a fast-growing ecommerce brand that has already proven its market fit. Silvery reached over $1 million in monthly revenue just over a year after launch, which suggests the creative output will have a real budget behind it and that winning copy can be scaled.
The paid trial of $200 for two ad scripts is a fair way to test the working relationship before committing to a retainer, and the performance-based bonus tied to ad spend means strong copywriters can earn more as the brand grows. The remote and flexible nature of the role also makes it suitable for writers who want to work from anywhere. Because applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, the earlier you apply, the better your chances.
Before You Apply
Prepare a small portfolio of direct-response ad scripts that shows measurable results, not just creative writing samples. If your best work is under confidentiality, redact or anonymize it rather than skipping it, because the employer explicitly welcomes this.
Before applying, study Silvery’s website and Amazon listings, then spend time reading ad comments, Reddit threads, and reviews about bedding and hot sleepers so you can speak the customer’s language in your application.
Be ready to explain not just what you wrote but why it worked, since the screening questions focus on how you think. Finally, treat the paid trial as a real audition, because strong trial work is the pathway to a monthly retainer and performance bonuses.
